THOMAS TOFT (1930-2015)
Thomas Toft established Tofts Keramiske Værkstedin in 1952 Bisserup near Skælskør on Zealand, Denmark.
The studio was established in 1957 in Bisserup where he lived and worked for 50 years. His works are relatively rare but included vases, vessels, bowls, trays and some lamps.
The motifs are usually geometric abstractions, sometimes of fish, contrasted aon rougher coffee chamotte stoneware with glossy or white patterned glazes or a more subtle lighter stoneware with matte simple glazes.
